One-third of the population in London is likely to develop some kind of per problems. Hence there are so many pest control companies in London. While pest problems are pretty common all around the world, it’s better to understand the behaviours of your neighbourly pests ranging from rodents to bed bugs.
Mice
Mice are cute little rodents, smaller than rats, and easily cramps themselves in tight spaces. You might not even notice the mice problem before it’s too late. They will chew your electric wirings, plumbing, and burrow behind your furniture to make them unusable. Often what starts from a little mouse, stops with a professional driving a horde of them out along with their kits.
Rats
London rats can be huge. Being an old city, London has the infamous age-old tunnel system throughout the city, which is a common breeding ground for rats. Rats are unlikely to hide behind the curtains, but when it rains, they look for a warm dry place, like your house. Rats often burrow their way through gardens to make nests and breed. Rats often spread Salmonella and Tuberculosis and are health hazards.
Moths and Beetles
Moths eat your carpet and clothes. Being very small and a romantic of darker areas, it’s easy to track them. Often residents notice holes in their clothing and carpets before they see the first moths. They keep hidden inside your carpet and clothes to breed and lay eggs. When larvae appear from the eggs, they start chewing on the fibres, making holes in the carpet and your beloved clothes. Moths are generally very disastrous to one’s financial health.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are as notorious as they sound. They come to your house through clothing and start living inside your bedding, feeding on your blood, making babies. The first bed bug coming to your home explores the proximity, then lives in your bed to get a lifetime supply of blood. When another one arrives, they start making babies and spread like wildfire.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches can fly. They can survive a nuclear disaster. They are very creepy with six legs. They also smell very bad. The picture of one cockroach makes my skin crawl, now imagine a horde of them running and flying inside your furniture and walls. Cockroaches are notorious pests; they even survive the best pest controls by simply flying away to a nearby house. Cockroaches are not very hard to find; they keep looking for food at night.
